End Of An Era
As has already been said by “Three Guesses”, the Supadance finals were amazing this year. For those of us closely associated with Carys and Nichole it was even more emotional and significant. After dancing together for about 5 years, Supadance was their last event before they change partnerships to dance with Jonathan and Charley - and what a climax to their collaboration.
They came 2nd in the juvenile Ballroom event – waltz, 2nd in the juvenile Latin – samba and 3rd out of 92 couples in the Latin Open 4 Dance. They danced brilliantly on the Saturday night; clearly enjoying their solo cha-cha-cha as they were called up to the final.
They contributed to the 1st position of the 2nd division All Ladies team in the South-East and their 2nd place nationally. Their final contribution was being in the under 16 1st division team who achieved 2nd place nationally.
For their families this was an adrenalin packed and emotional weekend. We hope they go on to be as successful in their new partnerships. What we do know is that they will remain great friends.
A Partnership in Pictures
By Peter Normand
Never ones to shy away from the camera, Nichole and Carys are regularly featured in some of the best of Wright Rhythm's photographs. Here are some of the highlights and a few unseen...
So what is it that has made this partnership such a strong one? Of course, we know they are great dancers...
And that's proven by the number of trophies they have...
But there's much more. For a start they're just so alike...
There's never a dull moment when they're around...
They're great team players...
And, of course they're both so beautiful...
But all good things must come to an end. And, hopefully, the end of this great partnership will spark off two more...
The question is - do Charley and Jon know what they've let themselves in for?...
They have a lot to live up to and I'm sure they can handle it but at the end of the day there will only be one 'Nichole and Carys'...
